This particular cowl is suitable to fit over a standard 230mm long x 165mm high brick vent.

The total overall size of this cowl is 280mm wide x 175mm high approximately - the angled cover is 230mm wide, suitable for brick vents. 

These cowls prevent rain from entering side on in areas where there is alot of side winds. Prevents water entering building venticlation cavities.
